Common Questions
How do I get started with the Compass Check?
Start by doing your first Compass Check in the morning or evening. The app will guide you through the process of reviewing yesterday's priorities, handling waiting tasks, and choosing your three daily goals. Don't worry about getting it perfect—the goal is to build the habit of intentional energy management.
What if I miss a day?
Missing a day is normal! The streak counter is there to motivate you, not stress you out. Just pick up where you left off and continue building your habit. Remember, this is about energy management, not perfection.
Technical Questions
Where does Three Daily Goals save its information?
Your data is stored in your personal iCloud account, ensuring it's available across all your devices. It's also cached locally on your devices using Apple's iCloud synchronization and local storage mechanisms for quick access and updates.
Who can access my information?
Your data is securely stored in your personal iCloud account, making it accessible only to you. The software author has no access to your data without your explicit consent. This would involve clear communication and authorization before any access is granted.
What happens to tasks in the graveyard?
Tasks that haven't been touched in 30 days automatically move to the "dead" state (graveyard). This prevents task overwhelm by removing outdated items from your active focus. You can still access these tasks if needed, but they won't clutter your daily planning.
Can I recover tasks from the graveyard?
Yes! Tasks in the graveyard can be moved back to "open" if you realize they're still important. The graveyard isn't permanent deletion—it's just a way to keep your active task list focused on what matters now.
